MY FIRST TIME WORKING

Woo now I know working is quite tiring. On Tues & yesterday, went working with Yu Lei (cousin), Charissa (her friends), Sze Ki, Aaron (cousin), Aaron's fwends and my mum. Actually is tues, yesterday and today one. We went to SINGAPORE POLY to give out booklets of coupons.One hour earn $5, actually quite a lot.

1st day working
Tues early in the morning, dad drive mum and me to Dover MRT to meet them and Darren the boss. He is just 19 years old. Who knows Darren was late for 1 hour. But its ok as he still gave us our $5. In the morning, we work until 11.30a.m. We team up. I with Sze Ki, Yu Lei with Charissa, Aaron with his friends while my mum alone. There is still one more people working with us. She is from Bukit View Sec, sec 4 and she is Darren's friends's friend. I heard the friend of the sec 4 girl is the girl that Darren been chasing for 2-3 years. Haha! Hope he don't know my blog. Ok Sze Ki and I was at the bridge bwtween SINGAPORE POLY and Dover MRT. Aaron and his friends was just rite beside us on the other bridge heading the other way. Yu Lei and Charissa was at the other gate which is very far from us. Haha! My mum was just rite at the bus-stop underneath Dover MRT. The sec 4 girl was at the Taxi Stand.

At 11.30a.m, we have our break at foodcourt thats where Darren introduce us to eat at. At 1.30p.m, we went to his office. 2p.m we went to the venues. I and Sze ki at foodcourt 4. Got air-con, so shoik. Yu Lei and Charissa at foodcourt 6, no air-con, haha! Aaron at foodcourt 1, his friends at foodcourt 2. My mum at foodcourt 5, the sec 4 girl at foodcourt 3. Wa lao loh foodcourt 4 got 3 floor loh other food court only got one floor idiotic lah. Our foodgourt so big. But easy to go back to Darren office, not like Aaron one so far when he come back his face extremely pale. Around 4p.m, we went back to office but Aaron came back at 4.30p.m like that. Lost his way. When everyone was there he tell us a good news which is a bad news to us. As we give out the booklet too fast, we only work for 5 hours then we only get $25. Already say that we get $35, who tell us to work so fast. If not can get more money.

2nd day working:
Yesterday, Darren tell us to meet him at the office at 11.30a.m. So we meet at Dover MRT at 11.15p.m. Aaron's friend was late so we went in first without the two of them. Reach just in time. When Aaron they all reach liao, we started work. Again our venues was at the foodcourt. Man we really hate to give out things at the foodcourt. So difficult and its the same things that we have to give out. Of course no one want lah. At foodcourt, saw one look like Rachel but not her. Thought that saw some JVS senior can help us take more booklets of coupons, haize...... Time to go back still left 21 booklets, hey thats my registered n.o, haha. Reach near foodcoust 6, outside was full of people selling things so give the rest to them. Yippe I gave all away never lose to Yu Lei.

Have break from 4p.m to 5.30p.m. 5.30p.m went back to Darren's office. 6p.m we went to the MRT again to give out. On our way, we were the first to reach our venues, but they have cars to help them bring their box of booklets to their venues. Iodits loh. Yu Lei and Charissa still get to sit on the cars to their venues. Well say real their venues is extremely far away from us like one distance from one MRT station to the other MRT station. Fine who cares. During our work, We met our JVS senior. 2 senior from chinese dance one, one maybe is from choir bah. They toke 2 booklets from us only, then at their stall play card.............-_-. So lame. haha! Wa lao Aaron and his friends keep blocking our way until we don't need to give out liao. Its ok as I also give out almost the same time as he gave finish. 6p.m smth then got back to Darren's office while Aaron reach around 5.30p.m. As when to help my mum, Yu Lei and Charrisa. should not have help Yu Lei, so far. I walk until I siao liao. Ok nvm is have past I 看在charrisa 的份上 then help them one. JKJK. Reach office got our pay which make us extremly angry. Only $20. Wa lao then the 2 days total is only $45. Actually, today still need to work one but give out too fast in the end no need to work liao. Fine loh. Anything loh.

A VISITS TO MAN FUT TONG NURSING HOME

MAN FUT TONG ROCKS

MAN FUT TONG is the first old people nursing home that I went to. Today, we went to MAN FUT TONG. Before we performed, we have some interaction with the old people as not all of them have reach. Some of the old people is very funny and friendly. But some of them is a bit weird(no offence). There was one old lady say that she is 83 years old but she look like 60 something only, I was shocked. Ok not really shocked. Haha. I also went to talk with some old people too.

Its was time for us to performed for the old people. Heart pouncing real fast. Ok not really fast when we perform for JVS. We sing total 4 song. They are YE LAI XIANG(first song), YUE LIANG DAI BIAO WO DI XING(secong song), BURUNG KAKATUA(third song) and CHAN MALI CHAN(last song). The old people look like they are enjoying the performance. As during the CHAN MALI CHAN song, some of them clap their hand with us.

After the performance, it interaction time again. But before that, Miss Wong(ex-choir instructer) came. The whole choir were shouting at her name saying HI to her. In the end, Mrs Teo say:"are we here to interact with the old people or Miss Wong" The whole choir laugh. Haha. Joyce, Wei Bin, Evelyn and I was interacting with one old lady who is a hokkien. Should be as she know wad Wei Bin and I talking about in hokkien. The old lady not intersted in drawing and colouring but intersted in simple parcel. She keep on playing the same pieces of parcel three times in a row. The parcel was a precious moment picture. Kind of cute. Haha.

Time is up. Time to go home. Why does fun time always fly so fast. Can't we have more fun time????? Maybe that is life. Haiz.......... Life is so boring.

When I was there with the old people, I think of my grandmother, the one that watch me grew up. She is gone forever. How can the child/children of those old people put them in the nursing home. Hope they do not put them there as they feel they are troublesome or they are busy. Time can be find to accompany them.

CHOIR SCHOOL EXCHANGE

We had a choir school exchange yesterday. Its was extremely fun as we can know about how other school perform and we can make fwends with other school. Three secondary school come to our school. They are Green Ridge Sec, Boon Lay Sec and Bedok North Sec. Green Ridge Sec instructer is Mr Ho, should be as I heard them saying good bye to the instructer. While other sec sch instructer including us is Mr Tham.

On that day, Wei Bin 7a.m smth sms me ask:Wad time muz reach 4 choir. Wa lao When I reply her, she on her way liao to school. Crazy loh so early. We must reach school at 8.50a.m but the choir comm must reach at 8.30 to discuss their duty. I reach school around 8.45a.m. Rest for a while then Evelyn chased us up to the hall. Still need to chased one leh.

The first school to reach JVS is Green Ridge very punctual leh. Even some JVS choir member reach school later then them. The second school is Boon Lay. Next is us. Lastly is Bedok North. Mr Tham say that Bedok North Siao Siao one, smth time sing very good smth sing very badly.

Before we sing for each other, we play Bingo together in the hall. When time was up, Hui Shi and Estelle punished the last person who sit down. And the person was from Bedok north and she is the most funny person in the hall. She sing FALL FOR YOU. She sing until so nice very serious. Estelle gave her a lollipop and she say: YEH GOT FOOD LEH! It was prizes giving time. the first three winner got a rubics cube and a lollipop. While the two other pupils got lollipop as a consolation prize. The top five dont JVS choir loh, cause we the host so don't have prizes. Gggrrrrrrr......................

Next we went to our respectived venues to practice our own pieces of song. We sang POKPOK ALIMPAKO and SWEET PHYLLIS STAY. Around 11.15a.m, we gathered back at the hall. Boon Lay Sec sing first. They sing quite ok. All their files were all black in colour but some of them never br so shared. The alto keep moving none stop while soprano stand very still, the baritone okok loh. Next is Green Ridge, the best among the 4 choir. They dont need files, stand very still and sing extremely nice. We can't take our eye off their voices. Next is us. Although we stand very still, all take different colour files and the pokpok alimpako sing wrongly in some parts. The funny thing is during practice, pokpok alimpako was better then sweet phyllis stay but yesterday, sweet phyllis stay was better then pokpok alimpako. We were surprised even Mr Tham also surprised. Lastly, Bedok North is up next. They were the last as one of their choir member family past away and she was on her way to JVS. The Bedok North sing quite ok nth to say about them.

In the end, Mr Ng one of our teacher IC, help us take a photo together with other three school. After that they went back. Mr Ng help us take one more picture (only JVS choir) with the insructer (Mr Tham and Mr Tan).

Got this mail from my friend, pls read on...

This is called "Faith". His name is Faith!

This dog was borned on Christmas Eve in the year, 2002. He was borned with 3 legs - 2 healthly hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which need to be amputatd. He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him.

His first owner also did not think that he can survive. Therefore, he was thinking of 'putting him to sleep'. By this time, he present owner Stringfellow met him and wanted to take care of him. She is determined to teach and train this dog to walk by himself.

Therefore she named him "Faith".

In the beginning, she put Faith on a surfing board to let him feel the movements. Later she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and reward for him to stand up and jump around. Even the other dog at home also helped to encourage him to walk.

Amazingly only after 6 months like a miracle, Faith learned to balance on his 2 hind legs and jumped to move forward. After further training in the show, he now can walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now. No matter where he goes, he just attracts all the people around him. He is now becoming famous on the international scence. He has appeared on various newspapers and TV shows. There is even one book entitled "With a little faith" being published about him. He was even considered to appear in one of Harry Potter movies.

His present owner Jude Stringfellew has given up her teaching post and plans to take him around the world to preach that 'even without a perfect body, one can have a perfect souls'.

I hope this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone and that everyone can appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day that follows.
